This is the latest news from these two Korean automotive corporation. In the event Hyundai Kia International Powertrain Confrence, they confirm that at this time the two companies work together to develop the 3-liter turbocharged engine with a V6 configuration. The plan is to be installed in the engine variants of their flagship sedan in the U.S. market, Hyundai Genesis.
This machine is not just any machine. Hyundai-Kia claims this machine can give off power to 350 hp. The combination of fuel injection technology, turbocharger, as well as several other new technologies causing this machine can consume 33 gallons/miil or about 15 km/liter.
Keep in mind, the Hyundai Genesis is now equipped with 3.8-liter V6 engine with a power 348 hp and capable of reaching speeds of 100 miles per hour from a standstill in 5.3 seconds. Expected with the development of this new engine, Hyundai Genesis can improve performance a few seconds.
This machine new plan will be issued in 2016 or 2014 may be most quickly, depending on the development of R & D Hyundai KIA and demand in the U.S. market.
