0 Toyota Develops New Brake-Assist and Automatic Braking Systems
The Japanese automaker, Toyota is currently developing two new braking system. Both of these systems will serve to help prevent accidents when the car drove at high speed or errors when stepping on the gas pedal.
The plan of this technology will soon be applied to high-end sedan Toyota. In two to three years into the future, this technology is expected to be embedded in the medium cars and compact cars owned by Toyota.
Brake-Assist Features
The first technology is Brake Assist, this feature will help drivers braking to avoid a collision with the car in front when driving at high speed. This feature uses millimeter-wave radar to detect the risk of collision, this system will automatically alert the driver with a warning sound or through the screen when the system detects a hazard.
This feature is also equipped with a brake booster that can automatically double the braking power of the car so that the driver can dismiss on time. This feature also makes it possible to fully dismiss the car as the car drove at a speed of 60 km / h.
Automatic Braking Feature
The second technology developed by Toyota is the automatic braking system, which works by using sonar to detect whether the car is going too fast while hurtling toward an obstacle. If so, it will automatically alarm will sound and the brakes will automatically work. This feature also serves to slow the vehicle when an error occurs gearshift.
