Since its introduction in 2006, the Audi R8 into supercar with a unique look and attention automotive enthusiasts. Apparently Audi is currently planning to make the next-generation Audi R8 planned gliding in 2014.
One focus of the German manufacturer's done is to reduce the weight of the car. According to Audi the reduced weight of a car, the speed, braking, control (handling) and fuel efficiency will also increase. As reported by Autocar, Audi plans to set up two new models for the R8 in 2014 both for versions V8 engine, 4.2 liter and V10, 5.2 liter.
Many recent media estimates R8 will be present in the third quarter 2014 (coupe version) and the second quarter of 2015 (roadster version). While it is too early to know the latest R8 power but predicted the latest Audi V8 engine produces power 450 hp and a V10 engine has power to 550 hp.
The change not only from the side of the engine, as mentioned earlier Audi R8 will try to lose weight up to 60 kg from the current model. It is expected that the total weight of the Audi R8 under 1500 kg. To lose weight, the car will use the structure of aluminum, carbon fiber and aluminum.
