0 Toyota Fortuner and Innova, Exploring Middle East Automotive Market


The automotive market in the Middle East market is a challenging and competitive, as well as the Middle East automotive market highly sensitive. PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) has stamped their two flagship products, namely Fortuner and Innova to the Middle East market. With the entry of Toyota's two flagship products, proving that good production quality and meet international standards.

"Fortuner and Innova has met the international standard four-wheel vehicles, and competition in the Middle East is very tight so if there is not a good product it will not get in there," said Irwan Priyantoko, General Manager External Affairs Division PT TMMIN.

Besides being able to penetrate the Middle East market, said Irwan, Fortuner and Innova production PT TMMIN Karachi has also been exported to 40 countries, such as Thailand, Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste, Brunei Darussalam and others.

"Besides Fortuner and Innova, major components such as engines have also been exported to 40 countries," said Irwan, who also said that the Toyota plant in Indonesia is the best in the ASEAN region.

By June last year 2012, TMMIN has exported 29,651 vehicles (CBU) whose numbers rose 90.3 percent compared with last year exported only 15 338 units.

For June alone TMMIN exported 3626 vehicles, an increase rather than achieving the same period last year exported only 1675 units. TMMIN not only export CBU, but also exports machinery and vehicle breaks down (CKD) to a number of countries such as Vietnam and India.
